Why some perfumes last longer
Three things decide it. Concentration: an extrait or eau de parfum usually carries more perfume oil than an eau de toilette. Base notes: heavy materials such as amber, labdanum, oud, patchouli, vanilla, musks and ambroxan evaporate slowly, so a perfume built on them stays longer than one built on citrus. And your skin: the same perfume can last hours longer on one person than on another.

Which lasts longer: eau de toilette, eau de parfum or parfum?
Usually the parfum or extrait, then the eau de parfum, then the eau de toilette, because the stronger concentrations carry more perfume oil. It is a rule of thumb, not a law: a citrus extrait can fade sooner than a woody eau de toilette. The notes matter as much as the label, which is why we go by wearer votes.
Why does my perfume not last on me?
Dry skin holds scent less well than moisturised skin, citrus and fresh notes evaporate faster than woods and amber, and your nose gets used to a perfume you wear every day, so you stop noticing it while others still can. Spray on skin and clothes, and pick perfumes with amber, resin or musk in the base.
How can I make my perfume last longer?
